My piece for Light Grey Art Lab’s Never Odd or Even show. I wanted to do a piece about the dichotomy of natural disasters being named after saints:
"I’m deeply fascinated by the tendency for destructive, natural forces to be given otherwise saintly names. Santa Ana is a fierce, dry wind that bears down on Southern California in late autumn – she’s the patron saint of wildfires and downed trees, but also the herald of crisp, clean air and blue skies in her wake."
