59 Parks | Mesa Verde National Park

My second screen printed poster for the FIfty-Nine Parks series. I learned a ton doing the first one, but this one had the added challenge of a LOT of very specific ruins. Still such a joy to get an excuse to draw southwestern rock formations.

my initial sketch! I had a pretty good idea what I wanted to do with this piece from the get go.

To make sure that the ruins were true-to-life, I made a rough model in Maya based on historical surveys so I could place the camera accordingly.
